27 The definition of the SA-compatible licence is given in the context of the implementation of the copyleft principle, i.e. the obligation of a licensee to also place modified material (see section 1.a) under a free licence when distributing it. The question of compatibility determines the selection of eligible licences. For details, see the explanations on the Share Alike licence module in Section 3.b.
